Terms of Service ​

Introduction ​

These Terms of Service ("Terms", "ToS", "Policy") are a legal agreement between MaskdDev ("we", "us", "team") and you, the user. By using Honeypot (" Service"), you agree that you have read, understood, and accepted to be bound by these Terms. If you under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you need to have your legal guardian review and agree to these Terms in order to use our Service.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any point in time, to add, modify or remove legal requirements. Unless stated otherwise, continuing to use the Service after modifications to the Terms will display your agreement and acceptance to those changes.

Limitation of Liability ​

Honeypot is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, or security of Honeypot or its content. We are not liable for any damages or losses arising from your use of or inability to use Honeypot or its content.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate Honeypot or any part of it at any time without notice or liability. We may also update these terms of service from time to time. Your continued use of Honeypot after any changes to these terms constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

Required Permissions ​

Honeypot requests several permissions while being added to your server.

The key permissions currently used for the bot's operation are:

  • Ban Members
  • Manage Messages
  • Manage Roles
  • Mention Everyone
  • Moderate Members
  • Send Messages
  • Send Messages in Threads
  • View Channels

Failure to provide these permissions may result in the inability of the bot to perform its function.

In addition to the above, Honeypot also requests the following permissions:

  • Add Reactions
  • Change Nickname
  • Create Private Threads
  • Create Public Threads
  • Embed Links
  • Kick Members
  • Manage Channels
  • Manage Nicknames
  • Manage Server
  • Manage Threads
  • Manage Webhooks
  • Pin Messages
  • Read Message History

These permissions are not actively in use, but may be utilised in the future for updates and features, allowing you to use them without re-adding the application. By choosing to provide the bot with these permissions, you consent to their use for the operation of the Service.

Prohibited Uses ​

You are not permitted to use Honeypot in order to:

  • Violate Discord's terms of service, or make the bot do so.
  • Target or harass specific users.
  • Send messages (whether through DMs, logs or warnings) with content that is offensive, abusive, illegal or otherwise violating Discord's ToS or local laws.

Users are solely responsible for the content of any custom messages set and sent through the bot. Users are encouraged to report any abuse at support@honeypotbot.com.

Governing Law ​

Disputes are governed by the laws of Australia.
